This feature allows you to check your POP3 email using your web browser. Normally you access your POP3 email using a program such as Microsoft Outlook Express or Eudora. These programs download your POP3 email and are stored on your computer. This WebMail feature allows you to access your email using any web browser while the email is still on the server, no matter where in the world you may be.

This feature allows you to create, delete, and manage POP3 email accounts for your domain. A POP3 account is simply an email account, it has a user name and a password which must be used to download the email with an email program, such as Outlook Express for example.

As an added feature for each POP3 account, you can enable a feature called a "vacation message" or an auto-repsonder, which you may customize to automatically respond to any incoming email for any POP3 account AND any email forwarding address. You can use this feature to alert the sender to the fact that your will be away for a certain period of time and will respond personally when you return.

Email Forwarding is a very useful and powerful feature.

The first feature you may want to setup is the Default Address or a "catch-all" email address. That is, to catch all email that is sent to anything@yourdomain.com for which there is no POP3 account for. Normally, a mail server will bounce all of this email back to the sender saying "no account by that name" or similar. By setting a "catch-all" address, you can be sure to collect all email that is sent to yourdomain.com and have it sent to the "catch-all" email address you wish.

The Current Forwarding Accounts feature allows you to take all incoming email for that POP3 address and automatically forward it to another email address (can be forwarded to more than one address). This can be useful for consolidating your email - having it all sent to some other email account that you use regularly.

This feature allows you to create, delete, and manage User Accounts. Each account will have a user name and a password that will allow them access to yourdomain.com via FTP and Telnet/SSH. You also have the ability to create "restricted" accounts. These are accounts that will only have access to the directory which is created for them.

This feature allows you to create, delete, and manage subdomains for yourdomain.com. For example, you can create a customer support area for your website which someone can access directly at support.yourdomain.com, or a product order form at orders.yourdomain.com.

This feature steps you through the process of implementing a visible page counter into your web page which is created automatically.

Majordomo is a very powerful and advanced feature. Briefly, a Majordomo is a program which automates the management of Internet mailing lists. Commands are sent to Majordomo via electronic mail to handle all aspects of list maintainance (such as subscribe and unsubscribe). Once a list is set up, virtually all operations can be performed remotely, requiring no intervention upon the postmaster of the list site.

We've all seen those bland "404 Document Not Found" error messages when surfing. This Control Panel feature will allow you to redirect certain web server "errors" to a specific html document (which you can create) which will be displayed instead of these boring default server error messages.

Form Encryption allows you to take the contents of fill-in boxes on a form (on a web page), encrypt them, and email them to a specified destination. This is accomplished through a CGI program called "FishForm", which is one of the many pre-installed CGI programs in your cgi-bin. This feature on the Control Panel sets up your encryption key and allows you to decrypt messages that are encrypted.

This feature allows you to protect certain areas of your website (directories) by requiring the web surfer to enter a correct user name and password to gain access. With this feature you create, delete, and manage user names and password for any directory of your website that you wish.

Wusage is an awesome graphical site statistics program that tracks a variety of information about your visitors. The statistics are updated each week for your site.

Selecting this option will install Wusage 7.0 for your domain.

By clicking on this link, you activate your domain so that you can use the secure.atlas-host.com server for secure web connections. SSL stands for "secure socket layer" communication. Providing a secure connection (encrypted) is useful (and neccessary) when accepting a customers credit card numbers or other personal information.

All atlas-host.com accounts can be configured for Microsoft FrontPage Extensions. The first time you select this option, you will install the Microsoft FrontPage Extensions. Each subsequent time you select this option, Microsoft FrontPage Extensions will be re-installed.
